The Irwin E. Ginsberg P’84 Aging Research Fund was established as a part of Brown University’s permanent endowment. This Fund supports Brown University medical or public health student projects (1) related to aging and (2) mentored by faculty affiliated with the Brown University School of Public Health’s Center for Gerontology & Healthcare Research or Center for Long-Term Care Quality & Innovation.
During this internship, applicants will:
- Gain theoretical knowledge and practical training in academic research
- Develop an abstract for a scientific meeting
Application: Submit a one-page proposal (12-point font and 1-inch margins) to CGCHR@brown.edu by 5 pm ET on March 17, 2023. Proposals should include objectives, and either (1) your mentor’s name and affirmation of their commitment to work with you or (2) a request to be matched with a mentor.
Funding includes: A summer stipend of $4,000. Applicants may also request support to register for and attend a conference, including travel, if presenting their project results one year.
Period of Performance: June 1, 2023-July 31, 2023, or July 1, 2023-August 31, 2023 (in-person or remote).
Deadline for Summer 2023: Applications must be received by March 17, 2023.
